The stadium has been present in the Libyan landscape for 50 years: it is becoming obsolete and in need of a renovation. Located in the centre of Tripoli and surrounded by a large amount of sport facilities, the 11th of June could offer an international sport landmark to the whole country.

We studied the demolition of the lower stand and the refurbishment of the whole stadium and its master plan.

The athletics track enables the stadium to be a multipurpose installation meeting, hence, international standards and regulations.

We also examined the creation of new facilities and equipments such as prayer rooms, snack bars, lounges and VIP/officials areas, creating thus more than 15.000 m2 of new areas.
